Tough to beat the Fern, one of the only places you can get all four seasons in one day. The track was demanding for sure and shaped up nicely as the weekend progressed. The crew did a solid job especially with the crazy weather. I thought Sunday was the best I’d seen the track in a long time. The sand was perfect, not too much of anything.
The BBQ is always top notch! Matty and Keg Head do such a great job! Those men really do slave for hours to ensure the food is the best it can be. Add the great food to an excellent raffle and the weather to back it down a notch, topped the Saturday off just right. Always a highlight of my weekend is helping serve dinner and the raffle, a good time indeed.
Always great to have Gary Plaatje calling the racing action!
It’s a thankless gig but the Reno Chapter, put it all together and makes it happen!
There is so many that make it all happen, I can’t name them all. But they know who they are and thank you! Without a team effort it wouldn’t happen.

To the Reno chapter,
This was my first visit to your track. I did one practice and instantly wished I had this track near us in Bakersfield. Your national was extremely well put together and flowed both days. The prizes given way were awesome (I really wanted those folding chairs). I really wanted to point out your flaggers, Absolutely phenomenal. There was never any question of safety or not knowing where an incident was. I loved your track layout and I believe you addressed the one issue with the double in the back appropriately. Just wish I wasn't the only 38 expert, but the 30 experts were dialed and watching the 574r and 222r go at it for the little bit of time I could keep up with them was awesome. I learned a lot about line selection at your track from following them. All in all a great weekend for my wife and I, thank you.
PS. That steakhouse across the freeway probably slowed me down two seconds a lap, but it was worth it.
